Eurowings, Lufthansa's simplified services subsidiaryat the end of October introduced a new service for customers with a myEurowings account. Called " Flex Light" , it offers a one-off, no-fee change of flight reservation up to 40 minutes before departure. Since 26 October 2023, this option has been automatically included in bookings made on a tariff. SMART or BIZclass.
"Flex Light" allows travellers to adapt their flights in the event of changes or unforeseen circumstances. It is in fact a permanent continuation of the free change of reservations service launched during the Covid pandemic.
"With our no-fee rebooking option in the myEurowings account, we want to continue to guarantee our passengers the flexibility they want. So they can plan and organise their trips without stress. And adapt them easily if necessary," explains Michael Erfert, Head of Sales & Distribution at Eurowings and Managing Director of Eurowings Digital.
Lower rebooking fees for all
The free change option is available to customers who book the SMART or BIZclass fare in their myEurowings account. Although the change is free, the passenger will have to pay any fare difference with the new flight..
If you do not wish to open a myEurowings account, you can add "Flex Light for ten euros on reservation.
For passengers who do not want this service but still need to change their booking, Eurowings makes a gesture. They have benefited from lower modification fees since the end of October. Eurowings has reduced them by 70 to 50 euros.
