THE THREE FORTS. Admittedly, the boat decor contrasts with the rest of the establishment (the Sofitel
Vieux-Port), which has recently been given a makeover. But the view is breathtaking: you can overlook the whole of the Old Port. The atmosphere is hushed, the cuisine innovative and full of Mediterranean traditions. The chef, Dominique Frérard, brings forgotten or unusual flavours up to date. This is clearly one of the best restaurants in town.

LE MIRAMAR. A veritable institution in the Old Port, where you can enjoy bouillabaisse in the finest style. The prices are rather high, but you avoid the cheap folklore of the surrounding restaurants, which allows you, among other things, to talk business quietly between the rust and the croutons. The chef, Christian Buffa, is a member of the prestigious Maîtres Cuisiniers de France association.

RADISSON BLU. The major advantage of this hotel (one of the oldest in Nice in this category,
opened in 1979), is that it is halfway between the old town and the airport. But it also has direct access to the Promenade des Anglais and magnificent views over the Baie des Anges. An ideal venue for corporate events, which can be organised on the eighth-floor terrace, by the large swimming pool (150 m2) or in the summer restaurant. The six high-tech meeting rooms were renovated in 2003, as were the 331 bedrooms.
