
Since 1955 and the opening of the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus, one of its first hotels outside the United Statesthe American group has continued to strengthen its offer in the Turkish metropolis. From Hampton to Conrad, not forgetting the Curio Collection and DoubleTree, a host of brands are present here, for a total of 28 hotels today. And soon five more.
The American hotelier has just announced new developments, starting with the arrival in summer 2025 of its flagship brand at Istanbul airport, one of the ten biggest hubs in the world. Connected to the terminal, the future Hilton will reflect its surroundings, with a 491-room and suite superhotel offering a wide range of bar and restaurant options, an indoor swimming pool, a VIP lounge and a dedicated 770 m² meeting space.


Before that, the top-of-the-range DoubleTree brand will have added a new hotel on the asian shorein the Uskudar district. Located close to the suspension bridge linking the two continents, the DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Altunizade hotel will have a residential dimension with its 240 keys, divided between studios and suites with separate bedrooms. Bar, restaurant, swimming pool, finess: the hotel will offer a wide range of services to enhance your stay, as well as 430 m² of MICE space, including a 150 m² multifunctional room.
The Hilton collections are also getting ready to welcome new members in stambouliThis includes the Les Temps Istanbul Karakoy hotel, which will become part of the Curio Collection when it opens in early 2025. Located close to the Galata Tower, next to the Camondo Stairs, this 93-room hotel will revisit a historic building in this arty district. At the same time, the Tapestry Collection will appear for the first time in Istanbul, in the historic part of Sultanahmet, through the transformation of two existing small hotels into a single 51-room establishment with a bar-restaurant and fitness centre, the Ritus Hotel Istanbul Sultanahmet, due to open in spring 2025.
Expansion in Istanbul and elsewhere
These recently announced projects join others already underway in the Turkish metropolis, including two long-stay facilities in the pipelineThese include the Home2 Suites Istanbul Financial Centre and Embassy Suites Istanbul Mecidiyekoy, as well as a hotel for the contemporary upmarket brand Canopy, due to open in 2025 near Taksim Square. But the American group's growth will also involve its Hampton budget brand, with two openings planned in Istanbul, the Hampton by Hilton Merter in 2024 and the Hampton Istanbul Sisli in early 2025.
In addition to this, the low-price chain will be expanding its footprint in the country with new establishments planned between now and 2026 in Denizli and Adana as well asclose to two airportsIn addition, DoubleTree is planning to open its doors in the capital Ankara and one of the major tourist destinations, Antalya. For its part, DoubleTree is preparing its arrival in Trebizond and Bursa in the coming years. With the 34 hotels in its pipeline, Hilton now has more than 100 hotels in Turkey.
