The transformation will begin on the Terminal billi. Dedicated to low-cost airlines, it will benefit from an extension of some 600 m². The terminal will grow on the city side, replacing the coffee shop. The second phase of the transformation will involve halls A and B. Bordeaux airport's two main terminals are to be linked by a central building, construction of which is due to start at the beginning of the year. 2026as part of a strategic project called Resources 27.
This metamorphosis should help Bordeaux airport on the road to recovery. By the end of 2023, the hub will have regained 85% of its 2019 passenger volumewith no fewer than 6.6 million passengers. This year, the airport welcomes 22 airlines, operating 128 direct routes to 25 countries.
