From 2 August 2024, Basel-Mulhouse airport will be preparing to welcome its first non-stop service to a Persian Gulf state. Flydubai, the leisure airline, will be the first U.A.E. carrier to land on the site. Euro Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL). Flights will be operated four times a week by a Boeing B737 MAX8 aircraft. These will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, at lunchtime.
The advantage of this flight is code-share with Emirates which provides passengers with simplified transfers, particularly to the Asia-Pacific region. flydubai's flights are located in terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport, which is also used by Emirates.
Gulf Air in Geneva
At the same time, here's a comeback that's more than a novelty for the company Gulf Air at Geneva. Already present in the city of Calvin in the 1990s and early 2010s, Bahrain's national carrier will once again be landing on the tarmac at Geneva airport. Gulf Air confirms the launch of its flights on 4 June with two frequencies per week.
Every Tuesday and Friday, the carrier will fly to Geneva via Milan Malpensa airport. It is a Airbus A320 which will operate these flights. It is the ideal aircraft for these two so-called secondary destinations. The Airbus will offer 16 seats in business class and 150 in economy class.
