B&B Hotels says yes to long stays. The hotel group focused on affordable hotels, is maintaining its growth momentum with B&B Home, a new concept with a predominantly residential focus, featuring rooms with kitchenette and a laundry. All the basics, in short, of a long-stay hotel. " With the launch of B&B Home, we are saying yes to the growth of B&B Hotels, but also yes to even more local connections, more inclusion and more openness".said Fabrice Collet, CEO of a group in a phase of rapid expansion with the opening of 170 establishments from 2022 to reach an offer of more than 770 hotels today, in 17 countries.

The first B&B Home, which has just opened in Saint-Ouen, reflects this approach. focus on local as well as second-hand products. Reminding us that the flea market is not far away, its rooms and communal areas play the salvage and second-hand card. Notably the bar counter found in Brest, a timely nod to the town where the B&B brand was born in 1990, or the coolers used as flower pots. All of which gives the hotel a vintage decor with a touch of the seventies, reinforced by contemporary elements with, in the patio, colourful murals created by a collective of local artists, the Graffart association.

Shared kitchen.

This recycling extends right up to the walls of the establishment, originally designed by the CGT social tourism association Ancav-TT: the Jean-Baptiste Clément hotel residence, rated three stars and located near Saint-Ouen town hall and line 14 of the metro. Opened in 2015, it was subsequently acquired in the summer of 2023 by PERIAL Asset Management's PF Grand Paris SCPI, which entrusted its operation to B&B, prior to its transformation in association with the design agency Saguez & Partners.

In line with the development of certain aparthotels, the B&B Home Paris Mairie de Saint Ouen offers a hybrid solution, with 31 of its 139 rooms equipped with kitchenettes and others without, whether double or triple occupancy, with or without a balcony. However, the establishment also offers a shared kitchen accompanied by a convivial bar and café area where you can enjoy products from local partners such as the Bio Ile-de-France cooperative, the Brasserie de Saint-Ouen, Rebelle jams or, in a spirit of inclusion, Café Joyeux, which trains people with mental disabilities, or Meet My Mama, a caterer committed to female employment.

As the Group's CSR laboratory, the B&B Home brand is pushing the sustainability envelope even further. For example, the showers incorporate a system from the start-up Luniwave, which can be used in a variety of challenges to encourage customers to limit their water consumption to 30 litres or 50 litres. Raising awareness of the environment also expressed in a humorous way with messages such as "It is not Versailles here" or "Water is more precious than gold". " With B&B Home, we say yes to sobriety and pleasure. The pleasure of taking care of people, resources, buildings and our neighbourhood, because this is our home." says Sophie Donabedian, CSR Director of B&B Hotels.

A lively area with table football and arcade games, a restaurant area opening onto a terrace: while the hotel is located in an economically dynamic district, business travellers will find it a pleasant place to relax. But the B&B Home Paris Mairie de Saint Ouen also plays the business card, with a meeting room for around twenty people on the ground floor and in the basement, a large events room divisible into 4 and can accommodate over 200 people in total.

After this first opening, other B&B Home are already on the programme with " three new establishments expected by the end of the year in the Paris region" explains Vincent Quandalle. The Managing Director of B&B Home, without revealing the time or place, points out that his group has bought four Novotel Suites, "these products could be very well adapted to this concept" . These four establishments are located in Rueil-Malmaison, Roissy CDG Airport, Paris Nord 18e and Vélizy Est. As for the future, between taking over existing hotels or hotel residences, Vincent Quandalle estimates the potential of the new brand on the French market at around a hundred establishments.
