AirAsia is the first long-haul low-cost airline to serve France. Since 14 February, the carrier has been flying four times a week from Paris-Orly to Kuala Lumpur in an Airbus A330, also equipped with a business class.
Vueling will move to Toulouse where it will open its first French base, serving seven cities (Barcelona, Paris, Pisa, Venice, Amsterdam, Malaga and Ibiza) with 40 weekly flights.
EasyJet exceeded 50 million passengers a year for the first time in 2010. The airline has recently introduced a flexible ticket for business travellers, allowing them to change their flight dates.
Transavia launches a Montpellier-Rotterdam flight four times a week from 22 April.
