The company generated sales of 15.6 billion dollars (+26.4 1Q3), an all-time record in the carrier's history.
"Our success last year was due to our perseverance in redefining the paths to growth in air transport, rejecting established norms and championing fair competition open to all. Despite crises and disasters around the world, our ability to adapt and our determination have enabled us to achieve this exceptional result".said Sheikh Al Maktoum, Chairman of the company, at a press conference.
Emirates' dynamism is also reflected in the growth of its fleet, which now stands at 148 aircraft, including 15 A380s - the world's largest fleet of the super-giant of the air. The carrier has also confirmed an order for 32 additional Airbus A380s and 30 Boeing 777-300ERs. Last year, Emirates added Amsterdam, Prague, Medina, Madrid, Dakar and Basra in Iraq to its network.
