Austrian now offers private check-in at Vienna Airport. This counter can be personalised with a message or logo. The first thing you might think of is a MICE event or company trip - service already offered by the company's sales department. But Austrian is also extending the concept to a personal event - honeymoon or family holiday. Or simply a passenger who wants a real celebrity welcome!
Rules for securing a private counter
The airline ensures that each passenger will receive a unique and exclusive touch thanks to this exclusively reserved check-in counter. Requests can be made on the airline's website at austrian.com.
- Bookings : The private check-in desk can be booked for all departures from Vienna with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa or Swiss. Austrian indicates that reservations must be made at least eight days before departure.
- Minimum duration : The private check-in desk must be reserved for a minimum duration of 30 minutes. The exact duration depends on the number of guests.
- Customisation : Passengers can personalise their check-in counter as they wish, with a personal message of up to 66 characters or a logo on the screen.
- Cost : 99 euros per half-hour to be paid on booking.
AIRail extended to Innsbruck
What's more, Austrian Airlines extends its AIRail service in Austria. From 15 Decemberthe carrier will also offer an integrated flight/rail service to Innsbruckthe capital of Tyrol. In cooperation with Austrian Railways ÖBB, Austrian will be offering up to 13 connections a day to and fromVienna-Schwechat airport. Connections from Innsbruck/Linz/Graz/Salzburg to Vienna airport can be booked as an AIRail connection on the Austrian Airlines website.
Unlike two tickets purchased separately, the advantages of an AIRail ticket are numerous. Check-in for the entire journey is carried out on the Austrian website, with the option of reserving a seat free of charge on the airline's passenger section. The journey includes a free snack with a voucher in 1st and 2nd class. The AIRail ticket guarantees re-routing in the event of delays.
And finally.., Austrian business class passengersHON Circle members and passengers with 'Senator' status can use the ÖBB exhibition in the central stations of Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Graz.
