In the middle of the year, the Group will also be adding to its offering near theMunich AirportThis is where other of its brands such as Novotel, Mövenpick, Mercure and Ibis are already present. In this context, a brand new ibis Styles, owned by airport operator Flughafen München, is in the pipeline. A hotel with a contemporary design inspired by the surrounding nature, it will offer business travellers passing through Munich 358 rooms, as well as coworking spaces, a separate restaurant, bar and breakfast area, and a self-service mini-market.

The budget and design brand will also be making its debut in Hamburg's HafenCity district, helping to revitalise the Übersee district. With a capacity of 402 rooms, this new hotel is part of a complex that also includes a 163-room Novotel. Another of the year's openings, scheduled for spring, is a 97-room ibis Styles in Neckarsulm, home to the headquarters of the Schwarz Gruppe, parent company of Lidl, and one of the production sites of the Audi brand.
