This metamorphosis has now been applied to the lobby, with its contemporary atmosphere and redesigned reception area. At the same time, the hotel offers six rooms that can accommodate small meetings as well as conventions of up to 90 people.
This opening illustrates the buoyant winds for the brand in AustraliaThis is in contrast to this side of the world, where it is losing ground somewhat. Nearly 90 openings are scheduled over the coming years, including the Crowne Plaza Bangkok Grand Sukhumvit and Rama 9. On the island continent, three hotels will open this year, in Sydney in January - the Crowne Plaza Macquarie Park - then in Melbourne in the middle of the year with the Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton - as well as in Shell Cove, in New South Wales. In 2026, the brand will also set up shop at the new Nyaal Banyul convention and exhibition centre in Geelong, an hour's drive from Melbourne.
Before that, IHG has also just unveiled a new address, the Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes. Located to the north of Australia's fifth-largest city, in a residential area which is also home to thei the University of South Australia campus and Technology Park AdelaideCrowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes, the country's largest scientific hotel, offers 155 rooms and suites, some with kitchenettes, for extended stays. For business meetings, the Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes offers 442 m² of MICE space with four rooms for a total of 250 people. The bar overlooks the runways at Parafield Airport. However, travellers should not count on this proximity: the airport has not hosted commercial flights since 1955.
