The art of French travel: Air France and Sofitel both intend to embody it in their premium cabins as well as in their hotels. From now on, they will also do so in concert, by introducing the comfort of rooms within cabins, for peaceful nights at 10,000 feet. After recently unveiling its new Première cabin, comprising four suites of almost 3.5 m² with armchairs and a chaise longue that converts into a two-metre-long bed, Air France is continuing to upgrade its long-haul Business cabin by offering passengers a new mattress topper by Sofitel MY BED. This top-of-the-range bedding collection, created in 2003 by the Accor group's luxury brand, offers "the ultimate in comfort". unrivalled rest quality, based on in-depth expertise and genuine manufacturing know-how".says Xavier Royaux, Chief Marketing Officer of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems.

Specially designed for the airline, this mattress overlay adds softness to the seat, both when seated on a daytime flight and when transformed into a perfectly flat bed. " The introduction of a new mattress overlay will further enhance the comfort offered on board, for an even more restful night's sleep before arriving at your destination, as well as during daytime flights." said Fabien Pelous, Air France Customer Experience Director.

Placed on each seat before boarding, this grey mattress overlay, in harmony with the colours of the Business cabin, can be easily installed by placing its hood on the seat headrest, then smoothing it against the backrest and seat. Adapted to all seats on all types of aircraft - Boeing 777 and 787, Airbus A330 or A350 - they can be used during all phases of the flight, from take-off to landing, thanks to notches where the seatbelts can be fitted. Lastly, the company assures passengers that the mattress overlay will be cleaned after each flight and reconditioned, " for perfect hygiene" .

The new offer will be rolled out from July onwards and will be available on all the airline's long-haul flights by the end of the year, regardless of take-off time or flight duration.
