Greece's skies on strike again

Business and leisure travel to Greece was once again disrupted on 9 April by a strike.

Just over a month ago, the Greece and in particular its air traffic, were paralysed by a strike action. The scenario is repeated this Wednesday 9 April. The Association of Air Traffic Controllers of Greece disengages during 24 hours, until midnight Wednesday night. The international airport ofAthens will be at a complete standstill for the whole of Wednesday: no flights will be taking off from or landing on the country's main hub.

Athens airport management said: " We would like to inform you that due to the strike of the Association of Air Traffic Controllers participating in the general strike of the Supreme Administration of Greek Civil Servants' Unions (ADEDY) on Wednesday 9 April, no flights to or from Athens International Airport Elefthérios-Venizélos will be operated from 00:00 to 23:59 (local time). ".
