Oman Air gains momentum in Europe as it prepares to officially join the alliance oneworld on 30 June. From 1 July, it will offer four flights a week between Amsterdam and Muscat. The flights will be operated every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
This will involve Oman Air's eleventh European destination. " Europe is our second largest market in terms of revenue, and Amsterdam is a key hub in the region for business and leisure travellers. In addition, the growing economic links with Oman make it an ideal complement to our expanding European network." describes the company's CEO, Con Korfiatis.
Last December, the company launched flights from Rome-Fiumicino with four weekly flights by Boeing 737MAX. On 25 July, Oman Air will also be adding a fifth weekly frequency from Munichby Boeing 737MAX. And is already planning four extra flights a week from London Heathrow. This increase in power will strengthen its connectivity with British Airwaysits future partner in oneworld.
Finally, it should be noted that in Asia, Oman Air plans to resume its Muscat-Singapore routewhich was abandoned in 2017. ASEAN's financial metropolis would be served by daily service by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The carrier has increased its capacity this summer to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Phuket.
