GETTING THERE

Eurostar offers up to 14 daily round trips by TGV between Paris and Amsterdam - and even 15 on the Brussels-Amsterdam line. At the same time, the London-Amsterdam links, which will be interrupted for a time in 2024 due to expansion work at Amsterdam Centraal station, will have up to 3 daily return trips.

As far as air travel is concerned, although these flights are used more for connections, the Air France-KLM group offers a total of 12 daily frequencies between Paris CDG and Amsterdam Schiphol.

Hyatt Regency Amsterdam

A combination of a new building and a facade dating in part from the early 20th century.^e The Hyatt Regency Amsterdam has converted this former children's hospital into a meeting venue. With its own entrance, this MICE space opens onto a comfortable foyer with a contemporary decor and includes a 200 m² ballroom and three rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 70 people. Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam

The Avani brand has continued its expansion in Europe, adding Amsterdam to its list of destinations last year. As in Frankfurt, Lisbon, Madrid, Milan and Venice, Minor Hotels' lifestyle brand has used the same recipe: the conversion of a hotel already owned by the Thai group, previously under the NH Hotels banner. Closed for renovations for several months, the establishment next to the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum has been completely renovated for the occasion, starting with its public areas, then its bedrooms and, finally, the transformation of its 40 m² meeting room.

With its clean lines and geometric motifs, the Avani Museum Quarter now offers designer frame which evokes both the different colours of the city's facades and the rectilinear nature of Piet Mondrian's works. Comfortable sofas, armchairs and a fireplace, tables at which to work or have a drink: its lobby offers a host of possibilities. A few steps above, The Pantry offers travellers a grab & go restaurant service at any time of the day or night, with drinks, pizzas, salads and other snacks. At the same time, the hotel's breakfasts focus on healthy options, with a few exceptions such as the ultra-soft pofortjes (Dutch pancakes).

The 163 rooms and suites, all large and equipped with flat-screen TVs and Nespresso coffee machines, embody another version of this idea of a "place to call home". a healthy and relaxing stay. With yoga mats and top-of-the-range bedding in every room, Avani has made its guests' sleep a priority, as the crews of Delta, who are regulars here, can testify. A sure sign of the quality of rest offered by the hotel, where the vast majority of rooms overlook the canals and, just next door, the lively Pijp district.

Mercure / Tribe Amsterdam North Station

Since spring 2022, Accor has been offering two neighbouring hotels - a Mercure and a Tribe - in the fast-developing Amsterdam North district. Building on the inauguration in 2018 of the Noord metro stationBoth establishments are located in the immediate vicinity of this convenient transport hub for business travellers, offering very quick access to the station and to business locations in the south of the city, such as the RAI congress centre and the Zuidas district.

If you have an hour

A boat trip on its historic canals, a stroll through the bohemian districts of Joordan or De Pijp, a visit to the Royal Palace: for a whistle-stop visit, after an appointment or before catching the Eurostar, Amsterdam opens up a wide range of possibilities. The major museums, including the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk, also offer itineraries for timed visits so that you don't miss any of the major masterpieces they house. For travellers who are sure of their agenda well in advance, a visit to Anne Frank's house is also a must as a duty of remembrance, provided you book your ticket well in advance.
