The new facilities inaugurated at theGatwick airport will reduce passenger waiting times by 25%, notably through the use of new technological tools, such as automated access by scanning boarding passes. Two of the 19 new queues will be dedicated to business travellers, and 5,000 passengers per hour should be able to be accommodated in the security zone. In a press release published on Tuesday, English airport officials spoke of "fast, intelligent and efficient security checks", which will enable "each passenger to be checked in less than 5 minutes".
