The lifestyle brand Ruby Hotels, which has just joined the IHG Group, has unveiled a new project in Geneva. For its second hotel in the Swiss metropolis. After converting three office buildings located above the Passage Malbuisson, between rue du Rhône and rue du Marché, the chain, which focuses on affordable luxury, will set up shop not far from there, at 18 rue de Hesse. At the crossroads of the banking district and the city's creative hub, this future establishment, expected to open at the end of 2028, will also be the result of the conversion of former offices in a listed bank building covering more than 4,000 m².

Developed by one of Switzerland's leading real estate companies, PSP Swiss Property, the project will include 124 rooms and public areas on the ground floor. This next opening will transform " not only the location, but will also contribute to the development of the entire banking district" said Peter Cloet, Director and Asset Manager of PSP Swiss Property Geneva. " This project perfectly reflects what Ruby stands for - carefully designed spaces, intelligent and efficient use of existing architecture, and the ability to create soulful hotels in prime urban locations." commented Julian Mörs, Senior Director of the Ruby Group.

While the brand is now part of the IHG portfolio, its development still relies on the group founded in 2013 by Mickael Struck. Ruby Hotels already has around twenty hotels open, around fifteen others are being prepared and will strengthen the offer in several major European cities, including Geneva, but also Berlin, CopenhagenEdinburgh, Rome, Rotterdam and Stockholm. All this to add to the brand's expected debut in 2026. in Francein Marseille.
