Water sports
The pleasures of the deep blue sea
For some years now, every summer has seen the birth of a new water sport. The jet-ski, or jet ski, is still very popular with incentive groups, although the banana boat, which can take up to six participants, is guaranteed to provide plenty of laughs. The same goes for the tube-ringo, a kind of large buoy pulled in single file by a boat. For solo sports, you can choose between sea kayaking or snorkelling.

Fast boats, which carry only passengers and avoid long freight loads, generally leave from the port of Rafina, an hour's drive east of Athens. However, while they save a few hours, they lose some of the charm of the boats of yesteryear. Gone are the days of contemplating from the upper deck... Today, passengers are cooped up in air-conditioned interiors. Even so, the large picture windows offer a glimpse of the Cycladic islands. On the way to Mykonos, the hydrofoils pass by Kea, Andros or Syros and make a brief stop at Tinos, before arriving at their destination just 2 hours 15 minutes later.

The hotel
