Cairo, an attractive destination for Accor projects

The Accor group will soon be adding a new brand in Egypt. The lifestyle brand 25Hours, which is part of the lifestyle hotel joint venture Ennismore, will make its debut in Cairo in a few years' time, in a new business complex in the immediate vicinity of the Mall of Egypt. Developed by Dubai-based specialist Majid Al Futtaim, this flagship shopping centre will see the development of a business park comprising 13 office towers, expected within five years.

Located in West Cairo, the Junction complex will also have a leisure dimension with around fifteen places to eat and around forty shopping options. Majid Al Futtaim will invest 15 billion Egyptian pounds (over 260 million euros) in the project, which aims to achieve LEED Gold sustainable certification.

All roads lead to Cairo

 This new project underlines the attractiveness of the Egyptian capital for the Accor group, as it does for the country as a whole, with almost 40 hotels open and around twenty more in the pipeline. At the beginning of the year, the French hotel operator opened a its largest Sofitel in the worldthe Sofitel Cairo Downtown NileWith 615 rooms and suites and over 2,000 m² of MICE space, a very luxurious Sofitel Legend is expected to open in 2027 in the immediate vicinity of the Great Egyptian Museum, next to the Pyramids.

 The following year, in 2028, the Mövenpick brand, which already has 16 establishments across the country, including the Mövenpick Cairo Media City among the latest, will add a new address in the west of the capital. The continuing expansion of new towns in Greater Cairo, such as Sheikh Zayed and 6-October - where the Mall of Egypt and the future 25Hours are located - is opening up new development opportunities. And it is close to these two that the Mövenpick Cairo West will open. Featuring 220 rooms and suites, the hotel will also have two restaurants, two swimming pools, a 500 m² ballroom and four meeting rooms.
