The new centre will replace the Salle Anatole France, which was deemed "obsolete and unsuitable" and was therefore demolished two years ago.
Frédéric Delmarès, Chairman of the Communauté d'Agglomération Bergeracoise (CAB) and Mayor of Creysse, wrote in the institution's magazine: " To embody an attractive, bold and forward-looking CAB, we have decided to create an Events Centre in place of the Anatole France Hall, which is far too energy-consuming. It's an ambitious project, but one that meets a real need. After two years of work, we look forward to inaugurating it together on 17 October. ".

The auditorium, with its 500 m² stage - which will be occupied by DJ The Avener for the inaugural evening - can accommodate up to 2,800 people.
