L'Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport confirmed its growth in the 3rd quarter of 2011 (+7.9% compared with 2010), with a total of 6,520,285 passengers handled. On the occasion of the publication of these results this week, the managers of the Lyon hub emphasised the balance between domestic and international traffic, while noting the strong growth on the domestic network (+13.5%, and 36.6 % of total traffic). Internationally, European traffic is up significantly (+8.5%) and accounts for more than a third of total traffic (39.5%), thanks in particular to connections to Belgium, Ireland, Italy and Turkey, ranging from +19 % to +21 %.
