Heathrow is well on the way to achieving its target of 84 million passengers by 2025. We will shortly be submitting our long-term expansion plans to the Government, offering the UK the opportunity to remain competitive, boost jobs and drive growth nationally. Heathrow has an exciting future ahead of it and we're ready to go for it. ".
Management's satisfaction is not based solely on the quantitative results for the first half of the year. It can also be explained by the operational performance of London Heathrow, which prides itself on being the most punctual hub on the Old Continent. What's more, despite the crowds seen since the start of the year, queues have clearly been managed successfully. Management claims that 98 % passengers waited less than five minutes at security checks. Another reason for satisfaction: the baggage delivery rate reached almost 99 %.
