It is already two years since the VIP terminal project was unveiled by the management ofMiami airport. Since July, the project has been taking concrete shape. A ceremony was held to mark the official launch of the works. Work is due to be completed by Spring 2026with the inauguration of a top-of-the-range terminal.
The VIP terminal promises to combine the state-of-the-art comfort of a top-of-the-range infrastructure with the heritage of an iconic building: the former headquarters of the Pan Am. This vintage feel will be emphasised in the refurbishment work. PS MIA, which is in charge of the refurbishment, is committed to "preserving the iconic mid-century Brutalist architecture and will seamlessly integrate finishes and furnishings that reference important aspects of that period". "The building's emblematic elements, such as the Pan Am logos, the gilded panels and the original reflecting pools, will be restored", according to the project managers.

As for the facilities awaiting business customers, the terminal will include five private suites, two lounges with catering options, a central open-air courtyard and a spa offering beauty treatments and massages.
" With the launch of PS MIA, we enter a new era of luxury travel at Miami International Airport, right here in the heart of Miami-Dade County. "says Daniella Levine Cava, Mayor of Miami-Dade County. " This unique private terminal in Florida not only enhances the world-class experience offered by our airport, but also breathes new life into a historic landmark that has shaped aviation history. I am proud to welcome PS to our community and applaud its commitment to honouring our past while designing for the future. ".
