Spark by Hilton makes its French debut in Lyon

Positioned at the top end of the budget segment, the Spark by Hilton brand made its debut in France this summer with its first two hotels in Lyon, in the Vaise business district.

Business travellers on a well-deserved holiday may not have realised it, but the Hilton group now hasa new brand for its expansion in France Spark by Hilton. First opened in Lyon in mid-summer, on the banks of the Saône, this brand positioned at the top end of the budget segment has just added a second establishment. Still in Lyon, still in the Vaise business district, and still through a franchise agreement with Lyon-based Arteloge Hôtels & Restaurants.

A third Spark by Hilton is already planned for summer 2026 near Lyon Eurexpo, when the ParkEst hotel will be converted to the Hilton brand. As for the first two French Sparks by Hilton, both located in IXe Lyon districtThey are the result of the transition of other establishments under this banner, combining contemporary communal spaces with functional rooms.

Opened at the beginning of August, the Spark by Hilton Lyon Park Saône was previously known as the ParkSaône hotel before this conversion. Its location on the banks of the River Saône remains unchanged, as does its appeal to business travellers, with 354 m² of MICE space for seminars and events. Offering 100 roomsThe hotel also has a restaurant, which can be extended onto a terrace in fine weather, as well as a Spark boutique where guests can find a selection of snacks, drinks and basic necessities at any time of the day or night.

Also on the banks of the Saône, the Spark by Hilton Lyon Ouest hotel opened its doors at the beginning of September and featuresa more or less equivalent offer with a restaurant - Italian cuisine in this case - that can be extended onto a terrace, a Spark boutique, a fitness room and a car park. On the other hand, while the number of rooms is almost identical - 102 in total - its MICE offering is a little more limited, with 110 m² devoted to business events.
