The global specialist in health and safety risk management has just announced the launch in France of Quantum, a new-generation digital platform that integrates the management of both travel-related risks and critical events. All of which complicates the task of travel managers and security officers in a world where unpredictability is becoming the norm. The Quantum platform responds to this uncertain context with advanced interactive mapping that consolidates medical, security, meteorological and geopolitical data, all verified by International SOS experts. All of this is based on an open architecture that can be enhanced by other external data sources, depending on the needs of each customer, whether it's weather or threats.
According to Caroline Hondré, Managing Director France and Southern Europe of International SOS, Quantum is "an innovative risk management 'cockpit' that enables us to move from reactive to proactive management, with better anticipation and coordination of responses". All this is made possible by a centralised, real-time overview of all the risks likely to affect employees, whether they are on the move or on site.

Quantum's major advantage lies in this dual approach. On the one hand, there is the Travel Risk Management module, which ensures real-time monitoring and safety of employees on the move, thanks to geolocation tools, personalised alerts and permanent access to health and safety experts available 24/7. The Critical Event Management module provides centralised management of crises affecting company sites and offices, supply chains and critical events.
The integration of these two modules into a single platform provides a 360-degree view to simultaneously protect the company's assets and its employees. All this is combined with on-demand analyses and reports, facilitating decision-making, and access to an integrated crisis communication centre, enabling the response to be orchestrated via targeted, multi-channel messages. The platform can also be connected to HR systems to integrate all employee contacts, ensuring holistic risk management.
