Adagio has taken a major step forward in France. The European leader in aparthotels is to add nine establishments to its network in France in one fell swoop, through a strategic partnership with Sergic. Adagio will take over the management of tourist residences developed by this property services group as part of urban regeneration projects, both in the Paris region and elsewhere in France. " Through this partnership with Adagio, we are strengthening our hotel business, a key component of our expertise in the management of mixed-use neighbourhoods. "said Etienne Dequirez, Chairman of the Sergic Group Management Board.

As hotel management is not its core business, this property specialist is going to entrust several of its sites to the subsidiary of the Accor and Pierre&Vacances groups. Almost all will be operated under the Adagio Access banner, while one will be dedicated to traditional hotels, under the Ibis Styles banner.

With a total of 1,152 keys, this deal will enable Adagio to increase the number of flats marketed and managed by the brand by 8%. This expansion is in line with Adagio's FIRST 2030 strategic plan, one of whose priorities is to strengthen its market leadership.

Four of the nine establishments will expand its presence in the Paris region with new Adagio Access hotels in Nanterre and Palaiseau, and two 'combo' establishments integrating Accor hotels, one with Mercure in Villejuif and the other with Ibis Styles in Ivry-sur-Seine. The latest Adagio Access-Ibis Styles alliance will also be found in Aix-Provence. At the same time, solo Adagio Access hotels will be opening in Saint-Martin d'Hères, near Grenoble, as well as in Pessac, near Bordeaux, and Villeneuve-D'ascq, on the outskirts of Lille. The Ibis Styles included in this agreement is located in Amiens.

According to an interview given by the two executives to the Hospitality On website, after an integration phase that is expected to take several months, new developments could follow from this partnership. " Adagio is delighted to be joining forces with the Sergic groupcommented Xavier Desaulles, CEO of Adagio. This is a major transaction that will enable us to accelerate our growth in our traditional market, France, and strengthen our position as European leader. "
