Suite Novotel goes sustainable

The Accor group is inaugurating its first HQE (High Environmental Quality) certified Suite Novotel hotel in Issy-les-Moulineaux. More respectful of the environment, the hotel is also more in tune with the expectations of business customers.

The Suite Novotel Paris Issy-les-Moulineaux opened by the Accor group consumes 24% less energy than a conventional building, thanks to the fact that sustainable development was taken into account throughout the hotel's design. Natural lighting has been given priority, while planted terraces are designed to limit heat reverberation during the summer, and therefore the need for air conditioning. This HQE-certified hotel should pave the way for a wave of environmental certifications within the group, as part of the EarthCheck programme. According to Accor's roadmap, all Novotel and Suite Novotel establishments must be certified by the end of 2012. Responsible, but also flexible: the Suite Novotel Paris Issy-les-Moulineaux offers 128 suites of 30m², with spaces that can be expanded thanks to sliding partitions, and functional, with a kitchenette equipped with a microwave and fridge. The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi access, an "on a Mac" WebCorner in the lobby, a 24-hour fitness area, and a library and newspaper corner.
