This week, Ethiopian Airlines officially became the third African airline to join the Star Alliance network, joining South African Airways and Egyptair. This new addition brings to 28 the number of member carriers in the network, with a total of 1,290 destinations in 189 countries. With this new addition, Star Alliance aims to capitalise on the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions) market, thanks to the numerous meetings and events organised in the Ethiopian capital.
