Passengers will be delighted. Air France has announced a return to the Nice-Los Angeles and Nice-New York JFK routes. Except that this will only be for a very limited period. Air France is launching direct flights between the three destinations, but only to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival and the Cannes Lions Festival.
As a long-standing partner of the Cannes Film Festival, Air France will once again be offering special direct flights between Los Angeles and Nice in May 2026. These exceptional connections will offer American travellers the opportunity to discover the Côte d'Azur in spring and take full advantage of the excitement of its famous international film festival.
In June, special flights will also be offered, this time between New York JFK and Nice, to coincide with the Cannes Lions Festival, to be held from 22 to 26 June 2026.
Dates and times of flights from Los Angeles to Nice (in local time) :
- 11 May 2026: flight AF041 - departs Los Angeles at 2pm, arriving in Nice at 10.35am the following day.
- 25 May 2026: flight AF040 - departs Nice at 1.15pm, arriving in Los Angeles at 4.30pm the same day.
Dates and times of flights New York JFK - Nice (local time) :
- 20 June and 21 June 2026: flight AF043 - departure from New York (JFK) at 4.30pm, arrival in Nice at 10.35am the following day;
- 25 June and 26 June 2026: flight AF042 - departure from Nice at 12:00, arrival in New York (JFK) at 15:00 on the same day
The flights will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER equipped with the new La Première cabin.
