Eight Airbus A380s are holding out on the Lufthansa fleet. The German airline's largest aircraft will receive special attention. New seats are expected in business class. Despite the vast "Allegris" offensive launched by LufthansaThis time, the seats will be designed by Thompson.

The A380 business class will feature 68 new seats, all with direct aisle access. In terms of dimensions, Lufthansa describes a seat width of 58 cm and a bed length of at least two metres. Modular partitions should also enhance the cabin's intimate character, and Bluetooth connectivity will improve the entertainment system.
This makeover - or retrofit - of the 8 Airbus A380s begins in February. It should be completed by mid-2027, with all eight A380s fully modernised.

" Lufthansa operates the only major A380 fleet in the EU, based at our 5-star airport "says Heiko Reitz, Director of Munich hub for Lufthansa Airlines. " The retrofit underlines our commitment to offering an exceptional flying experience on the long-haul aircraft so popular with our customers. The new premium seats offer more privacy and significantly more comfort than ever before. We look forward to offering our passengers this enhanced travel experience in Business Class from April onwards. ".
