Oman Air is continuing its international expansion with the launch of two new routes this summer. The airline has announced the launch of direct flights between Muscat and Tashkent from 1 June, as well as a new route between Dubai and Salalah from 3 July.
The twice-weekly Muscat-Tashkent route will provide convenient access between the Omani capital and the capital of Uzbekistan. This new link will not only strengthen bilateral commercial and cultural ties between Oman and Uzbekistan. But it will also offer new opportunities to reach Central Asia via Muscat airport.
Passengers will benefit from the comfort of the airline's Boeing 737MAX and its premium service, including a business class. The flight between the two cities will take four hours, with departures every Monday and Friday.
At the same time, Oman Air is developing its domestic and regional connectivity with the launch of the Dubai-Salalah route, operated three times a week all year round. The route provides easier access to the Dhofar governorate, particularly during the khareef season when the region attracts many international visitors due to its temperate climate. It will also improve Salalah's connectivity to the rest of the world via the Dubai hub. The route will also be operated by a two-class Boeing 737MAX.
These two new routes reflect Oman Air's strategy of combining sustainable business development, regional connectivity and the promotion of tourism.
