Younger and with a higher grade: the Hyatt group is preparing a gentle palace revolution in Nice. Its luxury brand The Unbound Collection, launched ten years ago, will soon preside over the destiny of a legendary address on the Promenade des Anglais: the Palais de la Méditerranée. Closed since last October for renovation, the hotel will open a new chapter in its history next June, no longer under the predominantly business-oriented Hyatt Regency brand, but within this collection which brings together prestigious establishments, notably the Hôtel du Louvre in Paris and the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz in France.
" With its extraordinary seafront location, in a listed 1930s building with an Art Deco facade decorated with Sartorio sculptures, its offering matched that of the luxurious Unbound Collection. », explained Marc Jacheet, president of the Hyatt group for the EMEA region, in an interview with Voyages d’Affaires last November.

To give itself a new contemporaneity while respecting its Art Deco heritage, the Palais de la Méditerranée has entrusted its transformation to the English designer Linda Boronkay for a chic and relaxed atmosphere in keeping with the glamour of the Riviera. The 145 rooms and 28 suites, most with terraces, have been revisited and continue to engage with the Mediterranean Sea, while offering a new sophistication.
As part of its evolution, the Palais de la Méditerranée will be offering a new gourmet restaurant on the third floor, Zouzou, with cuisine focused on Mediterranean flavours. However, regular customers will find several elements that have made the hotel so appealing, notably its panoramic terrace and its indoor and outdoor pool heated all year round.
What also remains unchanged is the venue's aura for hosting high-end professional events, with its Riviera lounge, for conferences or evenings for up to over 900 people, and its Azur lounge, divisible into two and offering a total capacity of 350 people. Refurbished spaces to rediscover from this summer.
