Air Transat is launching two new flights to France. The Quebec-based airline – which will celebrate its 40th anniversary next yeare anniversary – dessert since 21 May the airport Marseille. The Nantes will follow from June 2nd. The programme is however reduced: on the two routes, only one flight per week is planned to Quebec.
The new flights will be operated using an Airbus A321LR, featuring a Business class with 12 seats, amongst other amenities.
The Minister of Tourism, Amélie Dionne, welcomed these new routes to France: "The launch of these new non-stop routes between Quebec City, Marseille and Nantes is excellent news for our region and an important step for Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport. Seeing Air Transat choose Quebec City to strengthen its presence in France testifies to the dynamism and growing influence of our capital. These inaugural flights open up new opportunities for our citizens, our economy and our international attractiveness."
At Air Transat, Sebastian Ponce for his part testifies: « These new routes are part of our strategy to diversify departures from Quebec and respond to the growing interest in distinctive European destinations.
