The rapprochement between Nice and Genoa airports took a step closer with the signing of a new cooperation protocol on Monday. One of the project's key measures is the introduction of inter-airport shuttle buses between Genoa - Albenga - Nice, dedicated to the transport of air passengers. The Alps-Mediterranean Euroregion will also be focusing on two other areas: the creation of "double-touch lines" and the development of synergies in the business aviation sector. In concrete terms, the aim is to make the most of the Genoa alternative at a time when Nice and Cannes-Mandelieu airports are saturated. "More than ever, we need to pool our efforts to make ourselves more attractive to leisure and business travellers, and together develop our competitive advantages in an increasingly competitive international market," says Hervé de Place, Chairman of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur.
