Good results for Accor in 2011

Accor's sales rose significantly in 2011 (+5.21TP3Q), enabling the hotel group to confirm its operating target.

The unfavourable situation in Southern Europe was therefore not enough to halt the good momentum of the Accor group, which on Tuesday confirmed an operating profit target of between €510 and €530 million. The group's financial managers emphasised the positive role played by the budget brands, price rises and sustained demand in Europe - mainly Germany, the UK and France - in emerging markets, as well as in the United States. In addition, Accor achieved unprecedented growth in 2011: "With 38,700 new rooms, Accor reached its highest-ever level of openings and significantly exceeded its growth target for 2011," concluded the Group.
