According to information gathered by AFP from the SNPNC-FO union, around forty flights will be cancelled by easyJet on the 15th of August departing from French airports. Bis repetita the next day, with an impact of equivalent magnitude.
The flight attendants represented by the inter-union coalition SNPNC-FO, UNPNC-CFDT and UNAC-CFE-CGC are denouncing a deterioration in their working conditions, particularly regarding cabin crew rostering.
A strike notice filed at the beginning of August, activated after discussions failed
This movement is part of a broader strike notice, filed on 4 August and running from 7 August to 2 September across all of the company's French bases (Orly, Roissy-CDG, Lyon, Nice, Nantes, Bordeaux). The unions had initially suspended their action in July to allow management and several union delegates to focus on managing the fires that affected the Gironde and impacted the Bordeaux base.

Beyond scheduling issues, the protest is part of a broader climate of mistrust, fuelled by the prospect of easyJet being bought by a US investment fund ApolloAt the end of July, SNPNC-FO condemned a logic of staff cost reduction that traditionally accompanies this type of operation.
The unions particularly criticise management for the chronic instability of shift rosters, rotations arranged with check-in sometimes set just 25 minutes before departure, the multiplication of "trippings" (chains of flights and layovers over several days) and the lack of an agreement on rest time or compensation related to night flights.
