Jet Airways pulls away from Kingfisher

"Jet Airways is terminating an agreement with Kingfisher Airlines": this is the terse formula used by the Indian carrier to announce on Monday 20 February the end of its cooperation with Kingfisher Airlines.

No explanation has yet been given for the decision, which was made official by Jet Airways on Monday and takes immediate effect. The Indian carrier and JetLite "will no longer accept on their flights passengers in possession of a ticket issued by KingfisherAirlines". The reasons for the divorce between India's two air transport heavyweights may be detailed at a later date. It should be remembered that Kingfisher's financial situation had recently prompted Oneworld to postpone its integration into the airline alliance a few days before his official arrival.
