Business travel to Eastern Europe could prove particularly expensive this summer. The forthcoming European Football Championship, which Poland and Ukraine will be co-hosting, is already reportedly driving up prices in an edifying way. The latest report published by price comparison website Trivago shows considerable increases: up to 448% in the host cities. The report compares the prices charged during the competition with the prices charged in 2011. The city of Kiev, which is the focus of the increase since the final will be held in the Ukrainian capital, will see its rates rise from €149 in 2011 to an average of €623.
