Pilots' strike: Iberia goes to court

As a new large-scale strike prepares to disrupt Iberia traffic, the Spanish airline has decided to take legal action against the pilots' union.

There is no time for conciliation between Iberia and the Sepla pilots' union. The Iberian carrier has decided to take legal action to declare the Sepla pilots' union illegal. strike action scheduled to begin on 9 April. Iberia estimates that it lost three million euros a day as a result of the disruptions last December, and hopes to obtain a ruling within two months: too short a time to hope to avoid the start of disruptions.
