Frankfurt airport: court confirms curfew

On 4 April, the Federal Court in Leipzig upheld the ban on night flights imposed on Frankfurt airport since last October.

Lufthansa, the main user of Frankfurt airport, was surely hoping for a completely different outcome: several months after the first decision handed down by the Hessen court in favour of the airport's local residents, the federal court has confirmed the ban on night flights, in force from 11pm to 5am. This decision will mainly affect Lufthansa's cargo business at Europe's third busiest airport.
