Roy Lichtenstein drew inspiration from comic books, advertising and popular images to explore various painting techniques and assert his style. With over 160 works, ranging from familiar images such as "Look Mickey" and "Whaam!" to lesser-known ones, this is a dazzling array of colour and dynamism that also reveals an ironic and subversive take on American symbols, from blonde heroines to car crashes.
