Miami airport has recently acquired a new building, with the aim of facilitating the arrival of a large number of international travellers. A total of 37,000 m² of modern facilities, spread over three levels and connected to the Skytrain serving the various terminals. Business travellers should benefit from accelerated check-in procedures, thanks to the 72 queues available: managers at American Airlines, the airline occupying terminal D, estimate a rate of 2,000 people per hour, and an average time saving of 15 minutes at peak times. The American carrier, which operates daily services to Miami from Paris, is delighted with the new facilities: Marilyn DeVoe, Vice President of American Airlines in Miami, said: "We are particularly pleased with the opening of these new facilities, which will greatly enhance the travel experience for our passengers arriving in Miami. International traffic at Miami Airport has grown steadily in recent years and this trend is expected to continue as we expand our operations. This new infrastructure is very good news for our passengers.
