Lufthansa: 24-hour strike on 7 September, half of all flights cancelled

Pressure is mounting in the dispute that has been raging for months between Lufthansa management and the UFO union. Flight crews are launching a new day of strike action on Friday 7 September, resulting in the cancellation of more than 1,000 flights out of the 1,800 initially scheduled. This third day of action will also see the movement spread to new airports: in addition to Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich, already affected this week, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart should also be affected.
