2012 was a record-breaking year for Nice airport, with a total of some 11 million passengers, its best ever result. At the same time, the Côte d'Azur airport set new records for the highest number of passengers per day, per week and per month. The growth rate, slightly below that recorded in 2011 (+8.5%) remains particularly dynamic (+7.4%), thanks in particular to the establishment of the Air France regional base. But Nice airport's growth is also, and above all, linked to that of the Gulf carriers, with Qatar Airways posting record growth of +149% in August 2012.
