One of the most unusual additions to the Fairmont hotel portfolio at the start of 2013 is the Palm Jumeirah, an artificial archipelago in the Persian Gulf created by the United Arab Emirates. The extravagant project provides a choice setting for the new luxury hotel inaugurated by the hotel group. Fairmont is adding 381 rooms and suites to the Palm Jumeirah's hotel offering, as well as facilities tailored to the Meetings & Events industry: more than 3,000 m² dedicated to the organisation of events and conferences, including eight multi-purpose rooms benefiting from natural light, and a vast function room capable of accommodating up to 400 people. In addition, Fairmont The Palm boasts four outdoor swimming pools, a private beach club, a spa, and a varied dining offer with seven restaurants and lounges.
