Turkish Airlines flies to Marseille

Marseille airport will soon be welcoming a new heavyweight in the business travel industry: Turkish Airlines will be making its debut at the Provencal hub on 4 June, with the launch of a Marseille-Istanbul flight operated four times a week.

The spotlight on business travel remains firmly on Marseille at the start of 2013. While one announcement follows another highlighting the arrival of new business hotels in the European capital of culture, it is now in the air travel sector that the Provencal destination is creating a buzz. On the morning of February 4, the Managing Director of Turkish Airlines Marseille, Erhan Ipek, announced the arrival of the Turkish airline at Marseille Provence airport (mp). From 4 June, four direct flights will be operated every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from the airport. These flights will enable business travellers from Provence to reach Istanbul, Turkey's economic capital, as well as the vast network of connections offered from the Istanbul hub, in particular to the Middle East and Asia.
