Louvre Hotels expands its presence in Morocco

Louvre Hotels Group announces the signature of a partnership agreement with the Moroccan group Ynna Holding, owner of the Ryad Mogador Hotels chain.

The eight-year renewable contract covers the management, operation and marketing of the brand's 12 hotels, totalling 3,000 rooms. Thanks to this partnership, these establishments will become "Mogador Hotels by" Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip or Royal Tulip, depending on the establishment.

Pierre-Frédéric Roulot, President & CEO of Louvre Hotels Group, welcomed the signing of this agreement: "Following the opening of Algeria in 2012, this new partnership reflects the wider importance of the Maghreb in the international development strategy of Louvre Hotels Group. It is part of a more general strategy to consolidate the Group's position in the region. Louvre Hotels sees great opportunities in Morocco, where the country has major ambitions in terms of tourism and where demand for budget hotels is growing among local business customers.

These new developments are in addition to the projects already launched. Following the opening last December of the 178-room Golden Tulip Rawabi Marrakech in the Agdal tourist district, the French group has started work on a hotel complex in Casablanca. Located in the city centre, near the railway station, the project comprises three brands: a 189-room Campanile hotel, a 124-room Première Classe and a 98-room Tulip Inn Résidence. The most recent opening, expected in the second quarter of 2013, is the Golden Tulip Tanger City Center, an upmarket hotel with 230 rooms.
