Melia is determined to keep pace with Brazil's growth: on 25 February, the hotel group made official the signing of a new contract that will lead to the opening in 2015 of the TRYP Itaboraí hotel, 17th the Spanish hotel operator's new address in Brazil. The hotel will offer 272 rooms in a city booming with petrochemical industry. Three meeting rooms are planned, as well as a fitness centre, swimming pool and spa. Melia already has 12 hotels in Brazil, with five new establishments planned between now and 2015.
