Business travel to Asia continues to attract European airlines, as shown by British Airways' new ambitions in the region. The carrier is preparing to launch daily flights to Shanghai from London Heathrow, starting on 31 March 2013. The other new, clearly business-oriented service will be to Chengdu: on 22 September, British Airways will be flying to the western Chinese airport for the first time. "I'm delighted to be able to offer our passengers a daily flight to Shanghai," says Jamie Cassidy. "This is an important route for British Airways passengers, particularly business travellers," adds the Managing Director for the Middle East and Asia Pacific at British Airways.
