Montenegro Airlines celebrates its tenth anniversary in France, while waiting for Air France

Montenegro Airlines celebrated the tenth anniversary of its presence in France on 24 April at the Shangri-La in Paris. The occasion provided an opportunity to take stock of the airline's dynamic growth, which should soon result in a code-share agreement with Air France.

Montenegro Airlines has the wind in its sails, and the route to France is no stranger to the airline's growth. The airline's directors celebrated the tenth anniversary of its presence in France with great pomp and ceremony, representing 42,000 passengers in 2012 alone: a figure that is clearly up (+24%) on 2011, and which is set to increase even further in the months and years to come. Montenegro Airlines plans to open a new French service to Lyon airport between April and October 2014: "negotiations concerning this collaboration have entered the final phase", says the airline. Talks with Air France also appear to be well advanced, with Montenegro Airlines referring to "the imminent signing of a code-share agreement", which could even take place "before the end of 2013" according to several company officials.
